Perching Seats & Quiet Observation Play Spaces
Perching areas give children a comfortable place to pause, observe and stay connected to the play going on around them.
For children who may become overwhelmed by busy play environments, including some children on the autism spectrum, these spaces can support sensory regulation and allow them to participate at their own pace. BDI supplies perching and quiet-observation elements from Blue Imp — cozy cabins and cubbies, toadstool seats and sheltered nooks — that sit alongside active play rather than apart from it. All equipment is built to CAN/CSA-Z614 and ASTM F1487 and is manufactured in Alberta, Canada.
Cozy Cabin
The Cozy Cabin is a woodsy, whimsically themed playhouse that anchors imaginative play for the youngest visitors. Its powder-coated steel frame and composite planks give it a rustic cabin look while standing up to commercial use and the elements. Sized for ages 18 months to 5 years and a compact 7' x 5' footprint, it drops easily into tot lots, daycares, and early-learning play areas. The Toadstool Seat

Set on four galvanized legs and finished in a durable powder coat, it holds up to years of crawl-in, crawl-out use. Sized for ages 2–12 in about a 17 ft x 17 ft area.
