Self-Install Park & Playground Equipment for Montana

Montana is one of BDI's closest U.S. markets, just across the border from our Alberta manufacturing facility. For Montana parks, schools, churches, camps, and HOAs, that proximity means short freight lanes and lead times of 4–8 weeks. Many of our site amenities are designed for self-install by your own crew. Self-install, ship-direct

Benches, picnic tables, gaga ball pits, bike racks, campfire rings, outdoor whiteboards, replacement swing seats, wear mats, and patch kits ship flat or compact. When to use professional installation

For composite play structures, swings, and shade structures, we recommend professional installation. BDI installs Montana projects with our own crew or a local install partner we manage, depending on project size and location. We're not aware of a Montana state law that requires a certified playground installer, but the U.S. CPSC Public Playground Safety Handbook advises installing strictly to the manufacturer's instructions and having a qualified person inspect the equipment before first use. Check with your city or county and your insurer before you start.

Lead times

Typically 4–6 weeks for orders placed in winter and spring, and 6–8 weeks in summer and fall. Order over the winter to have equipment on site for spring.

Pricing & shipping

All prices are unit prices (switch to USD with the CA/US toggle at the top of the site). U.S. import duty is included in every BDI U.S. price, including the 2026 U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods, so there is no tariff surcharge. Montana orders of US$20,000 or more (equipment subtotal, before tax) also ship free, with customs brokerage covered. This offer is exclusive to Montana. On smaller orders, freight and brokerage are quoted per order, and taxes and installation are always quoted separately. Equipment is made to order: request a quote and we'll confirm the delivered cost to your Montana site.
